The CLAI Cooperative
CLAI is an agricultural cooperative in Imola (BO) specializing in the production of cured meats , particularly salami, and fresh beef and pork. In recent years, the cooperative has acquired the historic Zuarina Parma ham factory in Langhirano (PR) and the Faggiola dairy cooperative in Palazzuolo sul Senio (Florence), renowned for its artisanal Tuscan cheeses.
We cultivate values to produce goodness
From the fields to the table
A supply chain controlled "from farm to fork," through the expertise, care, and passion of people, which integrates the value of tradition with the new nutritional needs and lifestyles of the modern consumer.
We plant the future
Through the reforestation project in the hamlet of Sasso Morelli, around "Villa la Babina" and its park, CLAI promotes a biodiverse ecosystem to improve people's quality of life and preserve the signs and memories of time, cultures, and generations that have passed.
CLAI & FRIENDS: volleyball, rugby, and handball in the name of values
The "CLAI & FRIENDS" project combines sport and education to promote the values of cooperation through three local sporting excellences: CLAI Imola Volley, Pallamano Romagna, and the Imola Rugby School.
In particular, the Polisportiva Volley CSI CLAI IMOLA was founded in 1969 from an idea by Francesco Spadoni and his wife Anna Maria Loreti, with the aim of using volleyball as an educational tool for young athletes.
Since then, growth has been constant: generations of athletes have passed through the training fields with a dual mission: learning to play and learning to live the values of cooperation.
The 2023/2024 season brought historic promotion to Serie A2, which was then confirmed the following year.
For the 2025/2026 championship, the team is led by captain Sofia Cavalli, a setter who grew up in the youth sector, and can count on a mix of experience and youth.
Coach Simone Bendandi and assistant Odelvis Dominico Speek lead the group towards new goals.
The youth sector represents the company's flagship, offering development paths for athletes of all ages.
