Full job description
We are looking for a Butcher Shop Counter Assistant to join our “Macellerie del Contadino” stores, which are located throughout the Imola and Faenza areas. Our stores are located in Imola, Faenza, Sasso Morelli, Riolo Terme, Toscanella, Borgo Tossignano, and Palazzuolo. The successful candidate will be based at a designated store but must be available, as needed, to work at other locations.
Main responsibilities
- Greeting customers and providing service at the meat counter.
- Cutting and portioning meat (beef, pork, poultry, etc.).
- Preparing ready-made products (skewers, hamburgers, stuffed roasts, etc.).
- Weighing, labeling, and packaging products.
- Setting up and maintaining the display counter.
- Checking product quality and freshness.
- Adhering to hygiene and health regulations and HACCP procedures.
Skills and requirements
- Knowledge of meat cutting and processing techniques
- Ability to use workshop tools (knives, slicer, bone saw, scales, etc.)
- Willingness to work with the public and as part of a team
- Flexibility and availability to work shifts, 5 days a week with a midweek day off.
- Passion for the food industry and artisanal meat processing

Compensation and benefits
- National Collective Labour Agreement for Agriculture and Agricultural Consortia
- Full-time seasonal worker on a fixed-term contract, 39 hours per week
- Entry-level grade 7B or above
- Gross hourly pay of €11.77
