Zuarina Prosciutto Fiocco is made from the upper part of the pig's thigh and produced in Langhirano without preservatives. It is aged for a minimum of 7 months, with little salt and hand-done boning and tying, for a sweet and delicate taste. Available whole, vacuum-packed in halves, or in a gift box in a wooden crate.
The historic Zuarina brand, a passion spanning over 160 years.
There are only a few companies in Italy of absolute excellence and with a history of at least 50 years that can boast the title of “Historic Brand of National Interest”.
In the case of the Zuarina ham factory, it all began in 1860, in Langhirano, a small town on the foothills of the Parma Apennines.
Here, the woods of the Apennines meet the sea breeze from the Versilia coast which, having picked up the aroma of the pine forests and the scent of the chestnut groves, gives the hams an unmistakable sweetness and fragrance. The curing of the hams, slow and patient, follows the rhythm of the seasons in respect of tradition and ancient “know-how”.
