The third edition of the CLAI Cross Country Race has finally returned after the forced break, a return marked by the participation of over 120 athletes from numerous sports clubs. At 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, September 4th, the competitive race, organized by Atletica Sacmi Avis in collaboration with the CLAI Cooperative, kicked off at the Clai Cooperative Headquarters in Sasso Morelli. The race is sponsored by the Municipality of Imola and is included in the FIDAL regional calendar.
The overall winner was Luis Matteo Ricciardi of Atletica Imola Sacmi Avis, who ran the 12 km in a time of 40:43, followed by Riccardo Gaddoni of the same club and Davide Sughi of Atletica Blizzard. In the women's category, Manuela Brasini of Atletica 85 Faenza won with a time of 50:13, followed by Viviana Zago of the Società Sportiva Leopodistica and Simona Mascaro of the Società Sportiva Lamone.
The Ecological Walk also took place at the same time, also attracting participants of all ages. It was an opportunity to enjoy a day of sport and relaxation among the iconic sites of Sasso Morelli, dedicated to fun, wellness, and the environment.
At the end of the event, there will be awards ceremonies and a rich buffet offered by CLAI to all participants.
All proceeds were donated to Atletica Imola Sacmi Avis for educational sports activities.
