Per Natale CLAI è una filiera di bontà: 200.000 pasti donati a chi è in difficoltà grazie alla rete del Banco Alimentare - CLAI

A bauble to decorate the tree will be given to customers and consumers to help them feel part of this charitable initiative. President Bettini: "We've renewed a collaboration that has always yielded excellent results. Showing concern for the well-being of others is the most precious gift we can give ourselves."

For CLAI , the Imola Agricultural Workers' Cooperative, looks forward to another Christmas marked by solidarity and sharing. For the third consecutive year, the fruitful "twinning" with Food Bank (which is expressed through multiple charitable initiatives) to distribute food equivalent to 200,000* free meals to people in difficulty throughout Italy through affiliated charitable organizations.

And unfortunately, there are an ever-increasing number of families experiencing real economic and social hardship. Since the beginning of the year, 85,000 more people have been affected than last year – for a total of almost 1,750,000 – they turned to one of the 7,600 charitable organizations supported by Banco Alimentare in every region of the country.

«Although we always work hard, at CLAI we often reflect on which initiatives could be most useful in providing moments of relief to as many people as possible. – he underlines John Bettini , President of CLAI . In view of the end-of-year holidays, we have therefore decided to renew a collaboration that has always yielded excellent results, thanks also to the strength and widespread network built by Banco Alimentare, which manages to maximize the commitment that our cooperative gladly offers. Solidarity needs those who know how to make concrete gestures.

And it is the symbol of the commitment put in place by CLAI, an agricultural cooperative that operates in the agri-food sector both in the cured meats sector, with a particular specialization in the salami segment, and in that of fresh beef and pork, It will be represented by a bauble , available in multiple colors and containing various messages, which will adorn the Christmas trees of many families, reminding them of the value of solidarity. CLAI will donate these baubles to its retail customers, who in turn will distribute them to their own customers, and so on throughout the entire supply chain. Thousands of consumers, through the CLAI Banco Alimentare bauble, will be able to ideally participate in the value of the initiative, transforming it into a precious gift. supply chain of goodness . «The same goodness – continues the CLAI President – We apply these values every day to CLAI products, following the essential and fundamental principles we believe they speak volumes about the identity and values of a true cooperative like ours. These include the expertise passed down from generation to generation, the exclusive use of 100% Italian meat, attention to the supply chain from field to table, and the ongoing pursuit of quality and human and environmental sustainability. In our Food Company, which also includes the Zuarina and La Faggiola brands, we are convinced that showing concern for the well-being of others is the tastiest gift what we can do to ourselves."

«This small but important gift is a concrete testimony of attention to the person, which is more necessary than ever in particularly precarious times like the current ones. – he adds Gianfranco Delfini , Marketing Director CLAI – . We like to think of it as a sort of “relay”, in which the value of solidarity is transferred, through a ball, from hand to hand. CLAI places itself at the forefront of this pyramid of positive contamination which expands at every step, from retail customers to families shopping for their loved ones. A unique, major initiative of sharing and engagement, whose high symbolic value perfectly represents the identity and value system of our cooperative.

« We are happy that CLAI has once again chosen Banco Alimentare as its charity partner for its Christmas campaign – he says Giovanni Bruno , President of the Banco Alimentare ONLUS Foundation – , probably the most important of the year. Especially in times like these, marked by a profound economic and social crisis, we need loyal and reliable partners to share our ongoing commitment to supporting those in need. Our goal has always been to restore confidence and hope to the less fortunate people and we can only achieve this by teaming up with those who truly put themselves on the line with us and stay close to us .

The human sustainability that President Bettini and Marketing Director Delfini talk about is expressed in multiple initiatives, both internal and external to the company, which always place the focus on the person , with his needs and dreams. A recent example of this is the collaboration with the Foundation ANT Italia Onlus , an association that provides specialized medical care at the homes of cancer patients, with which prevention programs for employees have been activated over the years. And ANT itself received, last September, the 100% Italian Award , the coveted CLAI recognition, which is awarded to those who have distinguished themselves for their commitment to the promotion of culture, work and solidarity .

For CLAI, there's no single way to reach out to others, whether near or far. Recalling initiatives more closely tied to the local area, we can refer to the agreement established with Together with you , the splendid volunteer association of Faenza that helps people with severe disabilities to realize the dream of spending time on the beach, letting yourself be enveloped by the "caresses" of the sea and the sand. And also the decision to donate an ambulance , last March, to the 118 Territorial Emergency Service of the Imola Local Health Authority, to celebrate CLAI's first 60 years of life in the best possible way and as a sign of its belonging to its community.
